Scholarship Description
The Heads Up For Our Youth “Winston Salem Barber School Scholarship” celebrates a decade of empowering young people through our 11th Annual Back to School Rally. This $20,000 scholarship is awarded to students in Guilford County, North Carolina, who have demonstrated commitment to academic success, leadership, and service to their communities.
Our goal is to provide financial support to graduating seniors pursuing a four-year university degree or enrolling in an accredited trade or technical school in North Carolina. This scholarship honors students who embody the spirit of HUFOY’s mission: preparing youth to become productive, confident, and impactful citizens.

Eligibility Checklist
✅ Must live in Guilford County, NC
✅ Must be eligible to enroll Winston Salem Barber School in Greensboro NC
✅ Must submit all required documents by the deadline ( August 15, 2026)

Official High School Transcript
Two (2) Letters of Recommendation — from a teacher, coach, community leader, or employer (no relatives).
Optional Essay (up to 500 words) — “How do you plan to give back to your community through your chosen career path?”
